I drive a mini-van and have been called a “soccer mom” before (by a high school student who didn’t realize I was breastfeeding in the backseat of my car, which was next to hers in a public parking lot). At the time, I took offense to it since her tone was nasty, but I do have a sense of humor and was able to laugh at the fact that I was once that young girl who was so in the moment that she couldn’t possibly see herself in fifteen years with a baby on her boob…anyway, I’m getting off topic here.
Gatorade is one of the many sponsors of the 2011 BlogHer conference and were kind enough to extend an invitation to me for a special event they’re hosting during the conference, entitled G Sports Moms. I guess I do consider myself a Soccer Mom after all…
I was pleasantly surprised to get a very large and heavy package from them with a duffle bag inside, filled with the following items:
- workout t-shirt
- baseball t-shirt
- 4 pairs of shoelaces
- squeeze bottle
- sports towel
- sports jacket
- day planner notepad
- full line of the G series products (01 Prime, 02 Perform, and 03 Recover)
I’m not sure what they have in store for us during this special event next week, but I do know that they will have a fun photo opp where we can take a pic of us getting “dunked” with a cooler-full of Gatorade along with a special, surprise celebrity guest appearance.
God, I hope it’s David Beckham. Or Posh. She’s a Sports Mom for sure.
By the way, Gatorade is also the sponsor of the new film series Everything to Prove, following 14 new NFL players as they enter into the crazy world of professional sports. You can watch the episodes on the Gatorade Facebook page.
